My Review:
Definitely not what I expected when I started this story and because of that, I am awarding a solid 4 rating!
I anticipated a typical "I am in love with my best friend and don't know what to do" story line. That was what the summary gave me, and it definitely was that story line, but with so much more.
The author managed in such a short story to give some nice characterizations, with aesthetic descriptions, personalities, and backgrounds.
I love the unsure romantics and that is who Livy is. Unlucky with relationship, but something that does not define her. She has a very nice and happy life. Owns her dream of a bakery, amazing friends, and a rather busy upcoming social schedule.
Which brings us to Ian...
Ian is Livy's best friend's younger brother and has been a part of her life forever.
Handsome, swoon worthy body, intelligent, and successful. Has had relationships but something is always missing.
And whats missing? His secret...
He has been in love with Livy forever and compares all women to her.
Some wedding invites Livy has with a plus one has brought these two together. Ian has agreed to be Livy's plus one and that's where the story takes off.
Takes off with Ian's chance to get closer, to let Livy know how he really feels. And Livy's with trying to sort out the all consuming feelings she has for Ian.
Emotions. Sexual tension. Consummation. Confusion. Confessions.
Will they or won't they? A definite good read and worth the peak.
Great story, would definitely recommend it! Stalking is warranted. Highly suggest you do the same.
