My Review:

This sexy beast is who I always imagine every time I read a shifter story.

sexyjoe

These stories when done well, are always so smexy with a nice little story line thrown in.

Caged Heat was no exception...

I do love shifter stories! The appeal of a sexy alpha male doing anything and everything for the woman they love, whether they know it or not is the epitome of the "come take me, I am yours story". Aside from the fact they are perfection personified, there is always that innate tenderness and protective quality they all possess.

*sigh*

Sam has been away for five years doing the charity work her loving grandmother supports. She returns upon her death, the beloved woman who raised her and loved her. Sam's mother died when she was very young, has no memories of her, and she never knew her father. Her grandmother was all she had as the rest of her family hates her with a blinding passion. The hate is compounded by Sam being the major receiver of her grandmother's estate. There are some that would love to her dead so they can have all the money...and they try to make that happen.

Riel has been waiting five years for Sam's return. She is his mate.

Sam met Ry when she was a teenager. She felt an instant connection but didn't understand it and was awkward in trying to talk to him, but never forgot him. But she is a grown woman now. And a little open to the possibilities of a relationship, though the pull is still there and just as confusing to her.

Ry lives next door with his pack mates, a definite assortment of characters, fiercely loyal, all smexy in their own right, and supportive of Ry and his quest to claim Sam.

The mystery of who Sam's mother and father were and who is trying to harm her is the back drop to the story adding some mystery and action to the story line.

In between all of that, there is the coming together of Sam and Ry. A coming together that is amazingly passionate. A passion so overwhelming that it encompasses them both.

Caged Heat is a great story especially if you love a shifter story. Mystery, intrigue, smexiness, humor, soul mates, belonging, and finding one's true self. A definite must read.

*I didn't read book 1 in the series and it did not take away from the story. Caged Heat was so well written, it can stand on it's own. But...I definitely will be reading book 1!

Great story, would definitely recommend it! Stalking is warranted. Highly suggest you do the same.

She’s addicted to shoe shopping, chocolate and Dunkin Donuts coffee.

A major reader when she can get her hands on a good book, she loves reading all Mina Carter, Cynthia Eden, Cynthia Sax among others.
