Sometimes A + B = O. Yes. Oh, yes. Just like that.

Gabriella Evans’s life exists in terms of logic and definitions. She’s holed up in Portland, Maine, for the summer to work on her PhD thesis, but something is screwing up her concentration: the rumble of a motorcycle every time the embodiment of her rough-and-tumble fantasies rides down her street.

When her best friend talks her into a blind date, she finds herself out with the opposite of her fantasy. He’s polite and well-mannered, yet something behind his crisply tailored shirt doesn’t add up—a rebellious gleam in his eye that piques her curiosity.

Orphaned at fifteen, Connor Starks has finally put the years of failing grades, breaking laws and breaking hearts behind him. The only holdover? His penchant for getting down and dirty in public places. But Gabriella makes him want to prove he’s become a better man.

Nothing intrigues Gabriella more than a problem she can’t solve. But the more Connor tries to bury his past, the more determined she is to uncover it. And what she finds makes all her trusty logic begin to fail her…

Warning: This book contains a summer romance, dirty talk, dockside kissing, motorcycles and tattoos. Features a rebellious nerdy girl with an appetite for outdoor sex and light spanking, and a bad boy who’s turned good…or at least he’s trying.

My Thoughts:

What a fun story! A true Tell Me A Story kind of story.

Love when I am completely entertained from start to finish, no over the top drama or antics, just a good read.

Fantastic debut for the author.

This is a story that had a great flow, characters that were engaging and you cared about, an opposites attract story line, and a sweet romance with a bubbling passion brewing just underneath the surface.

What's not to like? Absolutely nothing!

Gabby is a good girl desperate to let her inner bad girl let loose. Well, maybe not so much bad as naughty.

Gabby is MIT student staying at her grandmother's for the summer working on her PhD. And what is she working on? The Duality Principle. Great segue the author created and much kudos as well explaining geeky mathematics to us. It is also a very important part of Gabby's personality and why she is the way she is.

Connor, the proverbial bad boy trying to be good or at least be what he thinks others want.

These two kids get together on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. They do a lot of back and forth, start and stop but continue to see each other. And though their relationship was a bit of a slow burn, the build up was nice and paced well enough that you didn't lose interest or get frustrated.

It's not until almost the end of the story that Connor's bad boy breaks loose to Gabby's surprise and delight, and breaks loose in a very hot and smexy way I might add! Oh! And what causes the wild man to break loose, Gabby and an extremely childish act. That's all the hint you will get on that!

The conclusion, complete with acceptance and discovery, wrapped up very nicely making the story on a whole very enjoyable. A definite must for those who just enjoy being told a good story without the emotional roller coaster running you over.

Very strong debut from the author and my stalker alert and watching.

A 5 Stalker Star Review
