When it comes to love there’s no such thing as conventional.

Everyone thinks Colton Neely is special.

Lilly Evans just thinks he’s fascinating.

Once friends when they were younger, their bond is cut short due to her accident prone nature and they go their separate ways. Years later they meet again and Lilly learns that there is something special about the boy she once knew, but she has no idea what it all means. And she’s not sure if she’s ready to find out.

When he walks through the corridor of her school the first day of her senior year she knows that it’s time to get to know the real Colton Neely.

The more she learns, the deeper she falls.

Their friendship grows into love, even as Colton cannot express it in words. But one decision threatens to break down the world that Lilly has tried so hard to create and she must figure out if the relationship can last without her being by his side.

My Thoughts:

Sometimes you read a story that page after page you are drawn in to the authors world. Sometimes you truly believe that world was created especially for you. You believe this is your story. That the author some how just knew your life, every bit of your life that most people don't and will never know. A rarity, but sometimes it does truly happen.

For me, this is that story.

A story that touched my soul more than anyone will ever know, more than I can describe myself.

A beautifully written story of how people can be different and the same. How it really doesn't matter what blocks are thrown in your way, you can overcome them the best way you know how. And maybe on the outside it doesn't appear that way, but in your heart, you know you achieved greatness just by succeeding on a daily basis no matter how large or small the goal.

The story of Colton and Lilly was told so realistically, I had tears in my eyes. Their struggle to just be was a stunning testament to the authors ability to tell a story most people do not understand and will not understand unless that story is your story. You can google to the sands of time end, but unless you live it, you can not appreciate the depths the author went to.

And even if it is not your story, Puddle Jumping is an amazing story that will engage you from start to finish.

And the cover. From the moment I saw it at the reveal, I was awestruck by it's beauty. I thought it was just stunning, but now after reading the story, I understand it so much more. It is still a gorgeous cover but a cover that now speaks to me.

Thank you Amber for the courage to write and publish this story. It is one I will never forget.

Absolutely loved this story and will forever be stalking the author! Review will also be posted on my Loved These shelf on Goodreads.

About the Author:

Amber is a full time mom, full time wife, is employed full time, and writes when she can.

She believes in Happily Ever Afters that occur every day - despite the obstacles that real life serves up on a regular basis. Or perhaps they're sweeter simply because of them. She always has 2 rubber bands on her wrist, a song in her head, and too much creamer in her coffee cup that reads 'Cocoa' - because she's a rebel.

If she's not at her desk, with her boys, or behind the computer, she's supporting live music with her arms raised above her head and eyes closed, waiting for the drop.
