I have a love hate relationship with my e-readers. Yep, I have two because I thought I would have better control with having two. You know, separate my TBR and stick to an order. That didn't happen.

I love the e-readers because of the immediate gratification they offer.

I also hate the e-readers for the same reason.

At one time I would go to the bookstore and buy a book or two, read them, go back, buy some more. But I never went back until I read what I had. Same with Amazon, I would go on line and order, read them, then order again.

Now with the ease of the immediate acquisition of books, there is no such thing as a true TBR list for me. It's just to easy and tempting.

This is how I download now:

1. A story just came out.
2. Reviewers I follow are raving about a story.
3. A cover. Yep I have been known to buy a book based on the cover alone. No clue who the author is, the premise, reviews, nothing, Just was really liking the cover.
4. Freebies, they are the worst! I just snatch those up without a thought behind them because they are free!

And because of the ease, I have stories on my e-readers I have not read. Multitudes of them. Some 2-3 years old. It makes me sad when I look.

I always say, one of these days I am going to get to them. One of these days.

I can't remember the last time I set foot in the bookstore. A place I used to go to weekly just to walk around and look. I always say I am going back, but haven't done it yet.

And actual tangible books? Well I have two bookcases full of the real deal but I have a criteria now. I have to be completely in love with the story to actually buy it. And hard copies, forget it, there is only one series I have hard copies of.

I always say I need an intervention, some control. And make the resolution every year to do it but it last as long as the next release comes out.

I am sure I am not alone in this. I am sure many of you have the same lack of control and out of control TBR list.

Has anyone ever found there way to the top of their list? If you have, please tell me how you did it, I am dying to know.

Until then, I will bask in my addiction, an addiction I obviously love and have no intention of kicking.

These are my most recent acquisitions. And why? #3 on the list, the covers!!!
