This was a fun, naughty read. A naughty read that doesn't make you hide. And isn't that the truth? Hiding your naughty stories? Reading something maybe you shouldn't be reading in the office? Goodness knows I've  done that from time to time. 

I Know What You Read is a quick read, a novella that has a really nicely developed story line with complete characterizations. That in itself always makes me smile. Novellas are notorious for inconsistencies so when I come across one that the author took the time to develop, it always makes me happy, and when it is naughty, even better. After all, I am not a fan of smut and without a clean story line, that's what you are left with. 

This is the story of Jade. A single woman working as a community journalist for a newspaper. She is also a girl who still has hope and believes in a happy ever after. Even after a disastrous relationship with a man who did nothing but lie to her. We are introduced to her world through her co-workers who are nicely described and characterized as well. Her out of touch boss, the nosy gossipy receptionist, her gorgeous but gay buddies, and a self absorbed admittedly cheating new sports writer who pursues her with a vengeance.

But Jade has a secret. 

She loves to read erotica at her desk. And that is where the story takes off. Someone knows and that someone let's her know they know by leaving her notes and stories...I Know What You Read.

We have mystery, a bit of blackmail, an annoying jerky pursuer, and naughtiness all wrapped up in to a very nicely balanced story line. The first half of the story delivers trepidation with the build up of who is blackmailing Jade with her wading through her day to day and trying to figure out who this person is. The second half  is an action packed roller coaster full of smexiness.

Definitely a story you will like and definitely will leave you smiling.
